Groundbreaking Ceremony Held For Building B at Edgewater at Hidden Bay
The construction of the second of three buildings planned for Edgewater at Hidden Bay began with an official onsite groundbreaking ceremony in late March.
Representatives from HBH Development, Halstatt Real Estate Partners, Wright Construction, Indigo Architecture, and Michael Saunders & Company, all participated in the turning of the dirt-filled shovels.
“With our first building of 16 condominiums already 75 percent sold, it was necessary to start the construction on our second building, which will have 20 bayfront condominiums,” stated Kemp Deming, Vice President of HBH Development. “We’re anticipating that Building B will be ready for occupancy in early 2019.”
Edgewater at Hidden Bay is ideally located within 15 minutes from downtown Sarasota to the north and picturesque Venice to the south, in a quiet, natural bayfront enclave.
“Our residents have told us they decided to buy at Edgewater because of its convenient location, the full warranties they receive due to new construction, and the fact Edgewater is being developed within an established, gated community that already has all its amenities in place,” said Deming.
Edgewater is being developed on the remaining sites in Hidden Bay, a gated, 14-acre condominium community located on picturesque Little Sarasota Bay, a popular recreational waterway that separates the main land from Siesta Key and the Gulf of Mexico.
When completed, Edgewater at Hidden Bay will consist of three bayfront buildings encompassing 52 new residences with covered parking and spectacular bay views.
Edgewater’s residences in Building B, the Casey, Siesta, Captiva and Boca, represent open-concept floor plans ranging from 1,948 to 2,166 square feet of living area, plus terraces that overlook the water.
All of the floor plans consist of two or three bedrooms plus den or office and have either two or two-and-a-half-baths, 9-foot ceilings in the main rooms, full code-compliant impact windows and doors, and a building security entry system.
The master bedrooms, which have direct access to the terrace, are extra large and feature his and hers walk-in closets. The master baths have his and hers vanities, large frameless showers, and private water closets in three of the four plans.
Edgewater’s fit and finishes can be fully customized to the homeowner’s dreams. Among some of Edgewater’s standard features are ceramic tile flooring in all areas except the bedrooms and closets.
Additional features include maple hardwood cabinets with granite tops in the kitchen and baths, full height 42-inch wall cabinets and KitchenAid stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, coffered ceilings in select areas, full size laundry room with sink and cabinets and 8-foot sliding glass doors to the terrace.
For a limited time, Edgewater at Hidden Bay is offering $10,000 in options or upgrades on all new contracts in Building B.
Two furnished models are open for tours in Building A. Prices at Edgewater begin in the mid-$500s.
As for onsite amenities, Edgewater’s residents can stroll down a boardwalk to a private fishing pier that extends out into the bay or launch a kayak and paddle the shoreline of the bay.
The community’s remodeled lakefront clubhouse features a heated pool and spa, state-of-the-art fitness center, grand salon with catering kitchen, card room, tennis and pickleball courts, a barbecue area, and a tiki bar.
“Considering the amenities, waterfront location and the gorgeous panoramic views offered from every residence, these new homes can only be described as the ultimate value in bayfront living,” said Michael Saunders, Founder and CEO of Michael Saunders & Company, Edgewater at Hidden Bay’s exclusive marketing agent.
